2018 Mitsubishi Expander Exterior and Interior
Mitsubishi, the Japanese automaker, officially unveiled the new 2018 Mitsubishi Expander MPV in Indonesia. The vehicle will make its public debut at the Jakarta Motor Show on August 10, 2017. This MPV crossover was first considered as the MPV cruise Mitsubishi XM at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show in 2016 (GIAS). The vehicle will be developed and launched in Indonesia and will be exported to select ASEAN markets, including Thailand and the Philippines. It looks like a decent competitor for the 7-seater Honda BRV.
Exterior and Interior
As we know, the 2018 Mitsubishi Expander Crossover MPV will remain true to the original conceptual design. Therefore, we should expect a vehicle looking futuristic, quite sleek, although with powerful SUV lines and this well-known robust feel. At the front, this sport minivan will be Mitsubishi’s famous dynamic shield design. This design will distinguish the Expander incorporating a large and muscular two-piece frog, smooth and sporty lanterns, and massive daytime running lights. On the sides, it seems that the Expander look is inspired by the appearance of the Montero Sport, which has been skillfully applied to a classic cross design. Here, the most dominant features include enlarged wheel arches, sharp folds and flow lines. This will give the Expander a more aggressive and sportier look. At the rear, there are L-shaped rear lights flanking the rear panels and a large tailgate. Finally, the rear bumper mixes very well with the tailgate and divides a rear diffuser. Outside, the 2018 Mitsubishi Expansion Cvc MPV may look sporty and luxurious, but inside, it’s a different story.
The interior of the 2018 Mitsubishi Expander relates to practicality, robustness and available space. After inspection, we can see all the features of a very affordable and reliable engine. There will be no opulence, no exotic material or futuristic technology. Instead, there will be plenty of simple lines, sturdy plastic, fabric linings and all the necessary technology. There will also be fake wood and metal fittings. Overall, the 2018 Mitsubishi Expander sports car has a rather minimalist and lightweight design. It will include many physical markers and robust buttons, as well as a simple and modern dashboard. However, there will still be state-of-the-art technology, in the form of an information and entertainment system with touch screen and modern security systems. Of course, given that it is a 7 seater, you should expect a lot of space for passengers and cargo. Mitsubishi also claims that comfort will be ensured, with adjustable seats and high quality.
2018 Mitsubishi Expander will be powered by the 1500cc 4A91 engine, which is essentially the assembled version of the engine featured in Mitsubishi Colt. The power will be transmitted to the front wheels thanks to an automatic transmission equipped with a virtual six-speed CVT technology. This engine is capable of producing 120PS of power at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
Release and Price
The latest 2018 Mitsubishi Expander Crossover MPV will likely reach global markets by the end of 2017 or early 2018. Currently, there is still no news about its price.
