Top brand Citroen DS booted its first SUV, the 2018 Citroen DS7 Crossback, before next week at the Geneva Motor Show. The stylish top driving trolley will be head-to-head with the likes of BMW X3, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Lexus NX and Mercedes-Benz GLC, and the new generation Audi Q5 in the busy segment midsize size SUV.
Exterior and Interior
The wide SUV has a pronounced grille and bumpers, headlights and muscle design lines throughout the body. The taillights have a cross design, small spoiler and chrome-plated bumper lined. At all stages of the design process, the goal of 2018 Citroen DS7 Crossback has expressed refinement, excellence and the best know-how implemented the highest standards, says Thierry Metroz, director of the DS Automobile style. The result is there to see, ideally equipped with a car full of personality. It is a perfect alchemy of strength and style.
Inside the car is a 2018 Citroen DS7 touchscreen infotainment screen 12.0 inches and customizable levels of leather finish digital instrument Bastille, Rivoli, Opera and line performance. All versions of the car advantage of LED headlights, an infrared night vision system and semi-autonomous driving. The Active Scan suspension system uses cameras to sweep the toad in front of it and automatically adjusts to a more comfortable ride. 2018 Citroen DS7 Crossback various driver assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Maintenance Aid and Auto Parking Lane will be included in addition to monitoring driver fatigue.
Under the carved hood is a dual gasoline engine of 150 kW with two electric motors for 80 kW combined power of 224kW for the plug-in hybrid powertrain. While an electric motor is coupled with the gas engine drives the front wheels, the second motor drives the rear wheel of the traction chain through an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 90kW lithium-ion of 13 kWh and remaining below the rear and allows to guarantee range of electric drive 60km seats. The 2018 Citroen DS7 Crossback can be charged in four hours in “standard” mode and two and a half hours in “fast” mode, with regenerative braking that helps in battery life. Finally, the range will be extended to include three gasoline and two diesel variants.
Release and Price
The car in high-end SUVs like the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Prices for the 2018 Citroen DS7 is rumored to start around £ 30,000 and the car will be available for purchase from 2018.
