2018 BMW X4 Exterior and Interior
The next X4 to get powerful X3 style signals and a completely new rear, according to the new spy shots. New spy shots of the next generation of the BMW X4 without disguise have landed, completely revealing the next signature X3-based SUV coupe. As expected, the next face of the 2018 BMW X4 is taken directly from the new X3, with kidney grilles larger than before and a more aggressive and inflated front apron. Interestingly, the headlights do not seem to have the new hexagonal BMW lighting signature.
Exterior and Interior
Spy photos of the 2018 BMW X4, it seems that the car will not change as much as expected. In fact, the camouflaged model looks almost identical to the current car. There are some minor differences, such as the largest grille in the front or the 7 series as lighthouses. The rear quarter panels seem to be a little wider, while the rear of the car seems to have changed slightly too. It seems that BMW could bring the X4’s design scheme closer to the X6 rather than the 3 Series, which would make the car a lot more impressive.
There is no doubt that the 2018 BMW X4 will share most of its cabin with the 3 Series and the X3. It is likely that all three cars have a very similar interior design with adjustments to differentiate them slightly. It is expected that the new 2018 BMW X4 will receive a better set of features at the basic equipment level. On top of that, it seems that BMW could add a unique set of inserts that will give its customers more options when it comes to interior design. The infotainment system, the instrument cluster and even the seats will be shared with the new 3 Series. On its predecessor, the new model could have more space in the rear seats thanks to a different floor plate design.
In terms of powertrains, the new 2018 BMW X4 platform opens the door to hybrid technology accessories. The most likely candidate here would be the gasoline and electric 2.0-liter, four-cylinder configuration of the current 330th sedan, which develops 249 bhp and allows an electric range of about 30 miles.
Release and Price
Despite being based on a new platform, the next X4 will not change much in size. From most spy photos, it seems like the car will not change a bit. The wheelbase seems identical to the current car, while the overall size does not seem to be so different either. However, in addition to weight loss, the new platform will give the 2018 BMW X4 a lower center of gravity. This will help the driving characteristics and give the driver more confidence through tight curves. The price or the release date is still unknown, but it seems that BMW could launch something soon enough, estimate $ 47,600 – $ 59,250.
