2018 Bentley Continental GT seen almost without concealment. The last test period of the luxury model reveals more clearly its design details; use the Porsche Panamera platform. The second generation of the Bentley Continental GT arrives, and engineers are testing the model as a ready-made production. The car was in public almost completely without hiding. Thin covers do little to hide the oval dual section headlights and taillights, all clearly inspired by the 10 EXP Speed Concepts 6 which was the first at the Geneva Motor Show.
Exterior and Interior
All 2018 Bentley Continental GT exterior panels are aluminum with the exception of the trunk lid, which is made of a plastic composite material that houses the antennas of the new car. To achieve a new and defined appearance, Bentley has adopted a new construction process from the aerospace industry known as the super formation. It is used to heat the aluminum body at ultra-high temperatures in a process that allows for more complex shapes with narrower narrow radii than before, according to Crewe officials involved in the development process.
Key design firms at the new 2018 Bentley Continental GT include a deeper but wider grille, a carved hood, dual round die LED headlights and a feature that extends into the upper front fenders and along the doors. Towards the rear, the hips on the rear wheels have become even more pronounced, while the taillights adopt the same elliptical shape as the rear tubes. Overall, the new Bentley seems shorter and wider than before, with wide rails, a single wheelbase and 21-inch alloy wheels that give it a stockier stance. Inside, the new Bentley aims to deliver world-class levels of luxury and craftsmanship in a cabin filled with quilted leather, wood veneer and chrome controls. But in an attempt to attract younger customers, it also has more modern connectivity features than ever before. The new dashboard designed includes a digital dashboard and Bentley Rotating infotainment display screen mounted at the center of 12.3-inch fascia can be rotated to reveal three analog spheres representing the outside temperature, a compass and a stopwatch or plating of normal wood.
The 2018 Bentley Continental GT will use the latest Bentley W12 engine, which is shared with the Bentley SUV, to produce approximately 600 hp. Below the range that exceeds the 6.0-liter W12 that produces 18bhp more than the outgoing W12, will be offered a V8 updated 4.0-liter petrol version of the current car. It is likely that the power output of the V8 exceeds the 521 hp of the current S model. There will also be a hybrid V6 petrol plugin (PHEV), which will use a configuration that develops 410 hp in today’s Porsche Cayenne PHEV.
Release and Price
No mention improvement in the interior housing with the new model 2018 Bentley Continental GT in the first information published by Bentley, although it is said that the new platform is released additional space for the occupants of the front and seats back and helped an increase in boot space.
